Lots by MikeD and Miros for the Wooden Simolean!
Also packaged, unpopulated Maxis lots for use as fillers in new neighborhoods. No Sims included!
I had this one sitting on ice for a very long time, so long that I forgot where I found the plans. But I had to wait for Seasons in order to make this house the way I wanted it.
Floorplan:
When I created this lot I had Uni, NL, OFB, Pets & Seasons installed. Along with Celebration and FFS. I forgot to install the Holiday/Christmas Party Pack when I reinstalled.
It is beyond all doubt that you will need NL (driveway etc), OFB (windows) and Seasons (skylight and greenhouse) to install this house.
Cleaned with clean installer.
Fully furnished.
Note: One of the kitchen counters needs to be moved back into place in front of the 3 tile window or into the nook, it's one that slipped through the cracks when I replaced the original custom windows before uploading. The counter is there, just in the wrong place. If you don't move it, your sims wont be able to reach the hot chocolate, and far more importantly, the trash compactor.
Unfurnished version to follow.

A lot I made for screenshots with many trees for the background. I've heard comments that my pictures looked like catalog photographs!

This is a high end residence club not a flop house (wait till you see the rents). For a start you will need all EPs and SPs, and to make the cook appear you will need the "Cafeteria Worker For Apartment Lots" fix from Simwardrobe (Click "Sims 2" then "Fixes" then "Apartment Life Fixes" and scroll down to the bottom of the page) or click this link Cafeteria Worker For Apartment Lots
I suggest using the 4 rear apartments for playable sims, as they connect to the garages.

Maxis did some nice lots that are frequently not available due to site outages, so I thought I'd share them here.

Installed expansions Uni, NL, OFB, Holiday Pack and FFS. Patched with the June 16th 2006 patch.
The garage door, driveway, driveway extension, exterior walls and interior wooden floors all require Nightlife. You must have TS2, Uni, NL, OFB, Holiday Pack and FFS installed to use the main download. I also recommend the June 16th 2006 patches.
Zip-File size: 1,657,564 bytes
Sims2Pack size: 3,966,998 bytes
Price: $202,673
Lot size: 6 x 5
No custom content.
No hacks.

There is now a TS2 and NL version of this lot. This version was made in a game with only TS2 and NL installed. There are some fairly minor differences, the main one being that the driveway on the extreme right had to be replaced with a driveway extension. It's a little cheaper, but not enough to avoid money cheats. Zipfile size: 1316071 bytes.
This building was originally inspired by the plans at http://www.coolhouseplans.com/details.html?pid=16048
I've tried to capture the character as best I could while modifying it from a 4 x 3 bed to and 8 x 2 bed Multi-Plex.

If you want to use the lot as 8 apartments you could get away with MyneDoors and the Antipedestrian Garage Door from dolphin26 at http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=117170
If you want to be able to put more than one sim in any one unit, then I recommend Inge Jones Security System (formerly Apartments) these days available from http://www.nectere.net/smf/. Scroll down the page and click on "Simlogical Stuff" then "Sims 2" then "The Simlogical Security and Dresscode system". I can't deep link as they use session IDs. The site was quite slow when I last checked it, so be patient.
Update: security system now available from Simlogical again!
The lot is unfurnished and only contains cheapo plumbing, lights and kitchen cabinets. Yes, I removed almost everything you see in the pictures, even the exterior lights and that silly little restaurant in the basement (do with that as you will).
Even so, it comes in at an hefty $202,673 so it may be only for more established sims, you know, the ones that have been motherloded or alternatively you could use
familyFunds [familyName] [value] to set the amount of funds, or Use
familyFunds [familyName] [+/-][value] to add/subtract from current funds.

This lot, as it stands, requires both University and Nightlife.
Filesize: 956787 bytes
Price: $195,233
No custom content.
No hacks.

In real life this would actually be a pair of semi detached 3 bedroom council houses. Council houses are the British and Irish equivalent of projects in the US. Although the neighborhood picture (bottom right) is similar to the rowhouses in many American cities, these units are semi-detached, with 2 units in a block.
Unless you have Apartment Life, If you want to use the lot as 2 houses, then I recommend Inge Jones Security System (formerly Aparments) available from http://www.drealm.info/simlogical/sl/Sims2Pages/Sims2_Apartments.htm
Both halves of the lot are fully furnished so the lot is priced at $195,233. Not exactly a starter lot. Naturally in real life the unfortunate tenants get to move in to an empty shell lacking everything apart from the bathroom and the kitchen sink, not even lightbulbs. Having said that, probably 90% of these houses are now in private ownership.
For those interested, this lot is actually based on the houses you can see in these photos http://www.megalithicireland.com/Ballybrack%20Dolmen.htm

Original Maxis Downtown lots, in case one gets corrupted or deleted somehow...
For some reason, I couldn't get Gothier Greens or House of Fallen Trees to package, even after slighting modifying the lot and resaving it.
I've packed up the lots from Riverblossom Hills (G001), the Maxis made Seasons neighborhood, thinking they might be useful for people who use the "Scorched Earth" approach from my No More Ugly Townies! tutorial.
All lots are unpopulated and contain only the "lotsegmentforupload" file.

Unpopulated original Strangetown lots. A friend of mine had 88 Road to Nowhere become corrupted, so I thought other people might be able to use these packaged lots to fix their games.
Lots have nothing but the lotsegment, so they're tiny!

MikeD likes this house, so I winterized it also! I couldn't resist the urge to tweak it just a little, but you can easily reverse that if you don't like it.

As you can see in the original layout below, a large piece of the flooring on the second floor was missing, which allowed the snow to fall all the way through the roof into the downstairs bathroom!

After filling in the floor, the real problem became obvious -- there are two missing wall sections between the upstairs hall and the "storage" area under the eaves!

After adding an attic floor, I couldn't resist tampering with the layout. The front bedroom simply isn't usable with a double bed, and Sims like lots of corners anyhow!

The new 1x2 room beside the stairs could be used as:

Zephyrzodiac asked to have the Sharpe house from Academie La Tour winterized. It ain't pretty, but it shouldn't snow on the drums!

This house needed some tricky work. It needed two walls parallel to the peak the whole width of the house and flooring added over the porch and the protruding section of the kitchen, as well as flooring added over the now enclosed second floor room, the end walls replaced with normal walls, and the small triangles at the very peaks replaced by "reroofing" the third floor attic. To get the new upstairs interior walls complete, I had to move the stairs out into the yard, then use the "move_objects on" cheat to put them back where they belonged. The last step was to match up that funky 60s wall paper!

Again, warnings: do not remove the roofs and do not remove triangular wall sections shorter than a normal wall section.
This house is based on the Bonny Bungalow from the base game, so you might want to consider using it instead of the Bungalow.
Note: ZZ doesn't have AL, which caused to the lot to crash in her 'hood, and I accidentally left the phonehack in, so she kindly provided me with a more backward compatible version. Thanks ZZ!

I love the Maxis Craftsman's Pride lot -- but post-Seasons, it snows in the attic! I've fixed it and offer it here for your enjoyment.
